Movie Workshop. V for vendetta




Now that we´ve just finished the movie “V for vendetta”, here is the corresponding workshop. This workshop will have a total score of 30 points (20 points=written work. 10 points= oral sustentation next Tuesday during speaking quiz). You have to complete all the tasks and present them on your notebook.

1)“Remember remember the fifth of November”. What did really happen the fifth of November in England’s history? Research and find out what happen in that day. One name will give you the answer, “Guy Fawkes”. Who was this man?

2)Describe how the movie showed society. How did they behave? Which were the main issues that were affecting them? How did the government threat society?

3)How did you see government censorship in the setting of the movie? Support with examples. Can you think about any country in the world that is facing the kind of government censorship that you could perceive in the movie?

4)Describe Evey Hammond character throughout the movie.

5)What is your interpretation of the following quotations taken from the movie?

6)What conclusion can you take after watching the movie?

7)Watch v´s speech. What kind of issues did V describe ?. What was his intention?. Which were his plans?
